I take what I publish here seriously, even when the tone is casual, so here’s how I keep the standards up.
Nothing Goes Up Untested
If it’s a recipe, I’ve made it in my own kitchen, usually a few times, before it goes on the Site. If it’s a style post, it’s built around pieces I’ve actually worn or bought. If it’s parenting content, it comes from something I’ve genuinely lived through with my own kids. I don’t publish something just because it’s trending.
Getting the Facts Right
When a post touches on something outside pure personal experience, like a food safety detail or a general safety tip for parents, I check it against real, current sources before it goes live. I’d rather take an extra hour to confirm something than publish it wrong.
Money Doesn’t Write the Content
Affiliate partners and advertisers don’t get a say in what I write or how I write it. I explain how those relationships work over at the Affiliate Disclosure page, but the short version is that a commission never decides what makes it into a post.
I Go Back and Update Things
Recipes get tweaked, products get discontinued, and my own opinions shift as I learn more. I regularly revisit older posts to keep them accurate rather than letting them sit untouched.
Tell Me If I Got Something Wrong
If a recipe didn’t turn out the way I described, or something reads as outdated, reach out through the contact page. I’d rather fix it than leave it.
